The Roblox editor uses a scripting language called Lua, which is commonly used in the programming world by many different AAA companies. Adobe, Firefox, and World of Warcraft all use the Lua programming language, so getting your child early experience with it can go a long way toward their future. Roblox itself has many different educational applications, too. It can teach level design (what makes a game fun—the gameplay itself), algebra and variables via Lua, and even economics with Roblox’s in-game currency. Where can I play Roblox? Roblox is so widely-played right now that it is available on multiple platforms! You can play Roblox online or you can play it on your computers using Windows or macOS software. Of course if you want to level up your playing experience, you can always use the emulator BlueStacks. Simply install BlueStacks on your computer, search for Roblox on the Google Play Store, and you’re done! BlueStacks has a crazy ton of features to choose from, including its Multi Instance Sync feature which allows you to record and repeat. Go ahead and replicate what you are doing on the main instance and apply it to the rest of the instances so you can level up faster (or in this case, produce more games). Aside from desktop, Roblox is also available on mobile devices like Android. Play Roblox anywhere, anytime! Creating Your Account & Avatar in Roblox In order to get started in Roblox, the first step will be to create your account and then customize your character on the platform. In Roblox, the avatar or character is your digital identity that shows your online person in the game. So let's talk about how you can sign up for Roblox. Create Your Account 1. After downloading and opening the Roblox app for the first time, you will need to sign up or log in. 2. Click on Sign Up and create a new account. The platform will want a plethora of useful information that you'll need to add like your Birthday, Username, Password, and Gender. So add that and you're good to go. 3. Click on Sign Up and you'll be redirected to the official homepage of Roblox. The page is like a marketplace where you can install games, socialize with friends, customize your character, and a lot more. But this is just the beginning. Create Your Character/Avatar 1. Go to your homepage and select the avatar icon on the toolbar that is located on the bottom menu. 2. You'll be sent to a new page where the game will allow you to have a lot of customization options and an in-game shop to purchase makeup and spice up your character. 3. Click on "Customize" and you'll see a handful of options that will let you customize your Roblox character in any way you would want. You can also create new characters while updating your current ones but the game will also want some ROBUX which is the in-game currency. 4. You can change things like Clothing, Accessories, Body, Emotes, and a lot more. So feel free to tinker around it.
