i played in your server and noticed you have a 1 shot kill mode, and are capable of changing the spawn armour timer... what else are you capable of? in terms of modding this game to get more players coming back to it... anything at all?? |

not sure what you mean slingb0t, yellow in game chat text?? idk dont think a battle royale works in current dflw parameters.. would need to disable mag's else it'll just be like a DM.. could have AI in trucks patrolling areas etc. has some wheels to it i spose. would play parkour/climb maps  the ability to drop a flag in flagball, uh, unlimited AT4s in a dodgeball type thing idk think we 15 years 2 late. |

Love the ideas of creating such mods but I don't believe its worth the effort unfortunately and I agree, 15+ years to late! With the DF Community they don't tend to like trying new things (as a whole), it appears... in my opinion. For example; even something so basic such as the Stock server I was hosting with stock settings (recoil on etc) and maps, a lot of people completely refused to play in there so 98% of the time the server was just completely dead. Which was very unfortunate as I personally very much preferred it in there due to it actually requiring skill. When we had a few guys in there it was really fun and brought back a great sense of nostalgia. A lot of people out there are stuck in their ways and just want to continue playing the same thing over and over again unfortunately, so I don't think it would honestly be worth the effort creating a battle royale type mode. most people left are people who weren't ever any good so they need no recoil and just play in a relaxed time wasting style.. fair enough i guess.. getting bored af with OUTLAW maps, DOUBLETAP going thru their entire server pack.. 600 maps.. wont send me them despite already having 300 of them.. trying to get shit done but they're not too cooperative. have around 70 maps all pretty decent just waiting on him to pull out the good old ones....... gone through =HAR= OG maps and COK servers, sparks sent his old ones.. so server could be pretty legit soon.. need to start a new map pack if they're reading this.. 150 maps takes 1.5 days to cycle.. plenty. HTFU dbl tap |

HTFU dbl tap Yeah, that's a whole lotta' maps... I'm happy to host maps in my tkoth server (or a new one if required) if it's any help? Depends if they really do want to update the map cycle or just keep it as it is. if it stays as is then you/we may as well host a new map cycle? I'd be up for that, I must admit it does get a bit boring playing the same stuff especially if there are particularly bad maps that haven't been removed. The maps I host I have not specifically chosen but instead are the only maps I had access to at the time. I lost lots of maps amongst files in the past due to hard drive failures / new pc's etc as with lots of people I would assume. Its an old ass game people may not carry backups from such a long time ago. Sounds like you have a good collection of maps so far tho! mm i'll probably send u the 70 i have if u want them.. they're absolute morons so i think i'm about done with em, will send what i have for the good of the game, but they will probably keep 300 maps and this will all be pointless, dont wanna waste another word on dbltap shit player. shit person, shit map organiser. |
